Diane Bennink, who's been a nurse since 1969, has the longest tenure of anybody at Turke & Thomashow: she's been working in the Ann Arbor office since 1984, and opened the Chelsea office in 1985. Diane and her husband, Dave, who's worked as an engineer at Ford Motor Company for 38 years, have 4 children and 9 grandchildren—all in Michigan. Mark's family lives in Jenison; Scott's family is in Spring Lake; Timothy's family is in Allendale; and Brian's family lives in Milan. They've all been taking trips to Hilton Head together for around 20 years.
Sue Zalucha has been a nurse in our Ann Arbor office since 1992. She and her husband, Paul, are putting their 4 children through college: Jessica is at Michigan State, where she's been accepted into the vet school; and Janet and Steven are at Michigan. Tracey Swanson — who grew up in Ann Arbor, and got her BS at the University of Michigan back in 1982 — started her nursing career at Mott Hospital, but has worked in Turke & Thomashow's Ann Arbor and Chelsea offices since 1995. She and her husband, Jeffrey, have 2 teenage children: a daughter, Drew, and a son, Brooks, who love to play softball, baseball and hockey. Tracey bleeds maize and blue, and loves the smell of the IM Building.
Susan Evanski started as a receptionist with Turke & Thomashow 3 years ago. She has a BS in social work from CMU, and was a receptionist at Child Health Associates in Ann Arbor for 25 years. Susan and her husband, Dan, have 2 grown sons and a daughter: Daniel, who works in industrial distribution and sales; David, a landscape manager, who coaches football in Dexter; and Kim, who's finishing her special education degree at EMU. Susan loves living in Chelsea; but her family grew up floating down the Chain of Lakes on their pontoon boat.
Kim Hoard, who's been a registered nurse for 15 years, joined the practice in 2008, and works in pediatric cardiology at Mott Hospital when she isn't working at Turke & Thomashow in Ann Arbor or Chelsea. She treats patients with congenital heart defects, before and after surgery and in step-down ICU. Kim was a patient in our Ann Arbor office from the day she was born; and she and her husband, Ron, now come in with their 3 children: Andrew, Tanner and Emily. Kim is the photographer for her son's traveling baseball team.
Kris Stirling, who started as a receptionist in Ann Arbor at Turke & Thomashow last year, got a BA in general studies in Happy Valley, at the Pennsylvania State University. She's been a certified medical assistant since 1986, and spent almost a decade managing a medical practice in Ann Arbor. Kris and her husband, Jeff, are raising 2 children, Matt and Jennifer, in Dexter. The Stirlings are all about hockey.
Amanda Rose Thomashow, Dr Thomashow's daughter, started as a receptionist in Chelsea in the summer of 2009. Amanda was born and raised in East Lansing, graduated from Lansing Catholic Central High School, and studies art at Michigan State. She's learning Swahili, loves dogs, is interested in medicine, and likes some books better than others.
Michelle Bazick, the newest member of T&T Pediatrics, started as a receptionist in Ann Arbor last year. Michelle has a BA in psychology and sociology from Eastern; and, together with a partner, she runs her own charitable business, Hearts of Hope, at http://www.heartsofhope.us/ Michelle and her husband, Greg, are raising their 2 children--Luke and Lauren--in Dexter, where they love to play soccer. Mr Bazick is Ann Arbor's Deputy Chief of Police.
